Sun Fish caught in the Deep Waters of Karachi Sea Pakistan - The First Incident of Releasing Live Sunfish at Ormada, Baluchistan Pakistan - Sunfish or Mola is usually killed by Local Fisherman when caught in the Indian Ocean
In the deep waters of Karachi (Ormada, Baluchistan) coast fisherman caught a six feet long and 450 kg (about 990 lb) in weight Sun-fish (also known as Mola or Molidae) by accident. The fish is unique as it has evolved a bullet like shape. They released the Mola after getting it filmed. The incident is significant because the sun-fish does not live in the Indian Ocean. This is the first time a Mola has been caught and released into the sea as the fishermen obeyed the WWF protocol. Express News released the footage of the sunfish that got trapped in the fish net by accident. Moazzam Khan of WWF said that fisherman used to kill the sun-fish but now guidelines have been provided to the fisherman not to kill this kind.
