Sir Elton Hercules John, né sous le nom de Reginald Kenneth Dwight est un chanteur pop britannique, né le 25 mars 1947 à Pinner dans le Middlesex. Il a officiellement adopté le nom Elton Hercules John en 1972 (voir le certificat officiel).
Le Roi Lion est le 41e long-métrage d'animation et le 32e "Grand Classique" des studios Disney. Sorti en 1994, il s'inspire en grande partie du manga d'Osamu Tezuka, Le Roi Léo. Mais les deux œuvres ont une inspiration commune : Hamlet, prince du Danemark de William Shakespeare.
