New Low Carbon Investment Fund Launched by BlackRock - The Minute

BlackRock has added to its investment portfolio of ESG products with the launch of a new exchange traded fund, iShares MSCI ACWI Low Carbon Target ETF CRBN. This new fund tracks the MSCI ACQI Low Carbon Target Index, which focuses on carbon emissions and fossil fuel reserves. That Index is based on the MSCI ACWI Index, a global policy benchmark covering developed and emerging markets, and utilizes MSCI ESG CarbonMetrics data from MSCI ESG Research. Compared to the standard ACWI index, the holdings in the CRBN Index produce 81 percent less carbon emissions and 97 percent less potential carbon emissions from fossil fuel reserves.
