Manache Shlok is one of the most popular books by Samarth Ramdas Swami. It is a small book of meditations which advises ethical behaviour and love for God. 'Manache Shlok' is a collection of 205 shlokas written by Swami Ramdas.
The birth name of Samarth Ramdas Swami was Narayan Suryaji Thosar. He was born on Ramnavami in the year 1530. At the age of 11, he attained enlightenment. He was a devotee of Lord Hanuman and Lord Rama. The title,'Samarth' was given to him by Lord Rama.
Meaning:
Shloka 81
Don't cease to remember Lord Rama under any guise. Let us always understand our true self. The gist of the Vedas and Puranas is that one should remember Lord Rama. Nothing is comparable to this.
Shloka 82
If we remember others then we wont get the same satisfaction. But people don't understand this. Lord Shiva, who is the killer of cupid (kama) remembers Lord Rama as a medicine for the poison that he has taken. We are absolutely nothing as compared to Lord Shiva.
Shloka 83
Lord Shiva who has killed cupid always dwells his mind on Lord Rama. He respectfully tells stories of Lord Rama to Goddess Parvati. Lord Shiva remembers Lord Rama after having all knowledge, detachment and power.
Shloka 84
Vitthal holds Lord Shankar on his head. Lord Shankar dwells his mind on Lord Rama. Therefore we should not forget Lord Rama. Who else can save us at the time of death?
Shloka 85
Those who strive for salvation find their solace in Lord Rama. Goddess Gouri and Lord Har always remember him. Let us also remember him.
