I can’t even tell you where this song takes me. It represents a string through my life of all emotion embodying hopes and dreams (some realized and many not) and glimpses of understanding and complete lack of understanding about life, and through it all the bittersweet knowledge that it is all okay and that love prevails. She is my hero concerning all things vulnerable and beautiful and has been since I was 15 years old looking out over Hollywood from my livingroom windows. The deep grooves of my LP records would prove it. Listening to Joni and Gordon Lightfoot created a mystique around Canada for me that is probably one of the drawing powers that brought me here to connect to my destiny. She is truly plugged directly into the universe of pure creativity and spirit. I am overwhelmed with emotion right now…..
She is the best ever! She is timeless. A class act. I wish there was a way to purchase this whole video of the Tribute to Joni Mitchell! That would be so great to download this on ITunes! How about it guys????
A very great original musician, composer and performer. The best in her field. Her song about the Magdalen Laundries is wise, magnificent and should mandatorily be played to every Catholic priest and nun at the start of each day.
