Katy Perry Will Be Next Year's Super Bowl Halftime Headliner

The NFL has confirmed that Katy Perry will indeed be the halftime headliner at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona on February 1st.

Pop-star Katy Perry has performed in front of audiences all around the world, and now she'll be starring in one of the biggest annual shows in America.

The NFL has confirmed that Perry will headline the Superbowl's half-time show. The game is being held at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona on February 1st, 2015.

Shortly after the announcement, a video was posted online featuring Perry sharing her less than realisitc ideas about will happen during half-time, which included covering the stadium in edible glitter and an appearance by a unicorn. While the footage left fans wondering what exactly is in store for the performance, one thing is sure, if it's anything like her past shows, it's bound to be spectacular.

Perry used Twitter to share her excitement with the world. In one post she noted how her bandmates were yelling at the TV over the Cowboys-Giants game and pointed out she couldn’t wait for February first.

Another post reads “3 AMA'S & SUPER BOWL?! Not long ago I was playing guitar on the streets of Santa Barbara for maybe 20 bucks a day & an avocado. Wow, life!”
