Six world powers ready for final push in Iranian nuclear talks, says UK FM

Iran and the six world powers are preparing for one final push on Monday (November 24) to resolve a 12-year stand-off over Tehran's nuclear ambitions.

The talks in Vienna aim for a deal that could transform the Middle East, open the door to ending economic sanctions on Iran and start to bring a nation of 76 million people in from the cold after decades of hostility with the West.

On Sunday evening (November 23), Britain's Foreign Secretary, Philip Hammond, said: "We're all focussed on trying to get to a deal but I wouldn't want to give any false hopes here. We're still quite a long way apart and there are some very tough and complex issues to deal with but we're all focussed on trying to get that deal done," Hammond said.
