His latest restaurant opening went horribly wrong after 140 reservations were made but only 40 people showed up.
He believes the opening night was sabotaged by a professional rival. Ramsay made the accusations during an interview on ‘The Jonathan Ross Show’.
He remarked “I think there's all that level of envy. Saturday was our first big day opening. We had 140 on the books and we had 100 no show. So someone's literally online.”
Ramsay suspects someone was using a computer to intentionally make a block booking. If that’s true, it easily explains why so few people honored the booking and were physically in attendance for the opening night.
Ramsay also make it known his staffers were frustrated and going forward the restaurant will have to reconfirm every table. He would not reveal who he believes is the individual responsible.
