The BBC has uncovered footage of what is believed to be the world’s first modern bungee jump. The silent footage, taken in 16mm film on April Fool's Day 1979, hasn’t been seen for decades. It shows Oxford University's Dangerous Sports Club inventing modern bungee jumping by diving from the Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol, England.
