African migrants victims of tough EU immigration policy

The Ceuta border fence is a six-meter high border fence between Morocco and Spain at Ceuta city. It is part of the border control policy imposed by the European Union', and at this particular border, most asylum seekers are illegally turned away rather than being given a fair opportunity to file for asylum. Due to the huge number of asylum seekers and migrant workers seeking to cross illegally, Ceuta is a hellish, overcrowded city filled with desperate people who often resort to desperate measures to cross over into Europe, and are met with undue violence on the part of authorities. The United Nations Organization has urged an end to violence in Ceuta, where 15 migrants were killed this past February. teleSUR
