Bar coded Biometric Ration Cards Mess: People irks as finger impressions not matching, Rajkot - Tv9

Rajkot: Government issued biometric ration cards to people because it was found that quite often the labourers are working away from home for days. Government wanted to ensure that the family keeps on getting its due supply of grains under the PDS even if head of the family is not present. But government's pro-active initiative failed and pushed people into problems. As bio-metrics are not identifying finger prints of ration card holders, people are left fuming. People demands immediate action in the issue.
