Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels have hit the red carpet in Los Angeles for the world premiere of their much anticipated sequel to the 1994 hit ‘Dumb and Dumber’.

Joining the pair at the premiere were the movie’s directors Bobby and Peter Farrelly and co-star Kathleen Turner.

“It’s really incredible,” said Carrey. “It grew into something that was timeless and that’s what drove doing the sequel,” added Daniels.

“That’s the reason why we did it really – the fans. Neither of us are nuts about sequels, so it was really about just being hounded constantly,” explained Carrey.

Clad in bright orange and blue suits by Tom Ford, the pair were in comedy mode on the red carpet. Talking about the original movie’s success, they claimed fans could be found in the most unlikely places.

“Kim Jong-un, you know, when I went over there, just for fun,” quipped Carrey.

“Putin. Putin gave us a call and just said how much he loved the movie,” smiled Daniels.

Set 20 years after the original comedy hit, the sequel finds the dim-witted pals setting out out on a wacky road trip to find Harry’s long-lost daughter.

‘Dumb and Dumber To’, starring Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels, is on global release from mid-November.
