Sixpence None the Richer était un groupe de rock originaire du Texas. Ses membres fondateurs sont Matt Slocum, guitariste et compositeur, et Leigh Nash, chanteuse. Ils rencontrent le bassiste T.J. Behling et fondent le groupe au début des années 1990.
Sixpence None the Richer se fit remarquer notamment grâce à la B.O. de «Elle est trop bien» en 1999 dont la chanson «Kiss Me» devint rapidement un grand succès commercial.
Le groupe a enregistré de nombreux albums et quelques titres de bandes originales et de compilations musicales.
Le 26 février 2004 Matt Slocum a annoncé la séparation du groupe dans une lettre au magazine CCM.
