Police robbed and bundled into back of their own van while buying food

Two South African policemen may have regretted stopping for a snack after robbers stole their guns in broad daylight – and in full view of a camera, not to mention several other diners.
The robbery was captured on a surveillance camera of a business near the popular snack stall – with four men pouncing on the officers as they tucked in, before locking them inside their van.
This being South Africa, the robbers didn’t have long to enjoy their gains – as soon as the officers got out with help from the public, they chased the suspects, guns blazing.
Police spokesman Nevillle Malila said, ‘The suspects lost control of their vehicle and fired several shots at the police who returned fire. No injuries were reported.’
Three suspects were arrested – and the officers retrieved their own guns from the gang.
