US voters approve minimum wage increase in ballot referendums

As part of the mid-term elections, voters in several states cast ballots in referendums on issues such as legalization of marijuana, abortion, and the minimum wage. Voters in five states approved raising the minimum wage and in Oregon and Washington DC it was marijuana for adult consumption that carried the day.
