In order to have the procedure done, she had to go to Africa as the technique is not permitted in the United States.

It’s called BrightOcular, and involves making an incision in the eye and inserting a silicon implant.

According to president of the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai, the color change comes with a number of very serious potential problems.

Those include glaucoma, cataracts, and issues with the cornea.

Harris expressed via social media that she’s thrilled with her new ice-grey eyes, but a great deal of commentary has surfaced surrounding her decision to get rid of her brown ones.

Some of the detractors accuse the star of desperately desiring to be white.

Others question what the state of her self-esteem must be.

Harris maintains that she simply wanted to try something new.

She also insists that while there are risks the medical method isn’t as dangerous as people tend to believe.

Along with her praises for the doctors and the procedure, she’s extended a money-saving offer to those who would like to try it as well.
