Cruising with no road directly underneath our tires may soon become the norm if flying cars are the next big thing. AeroMobil’s Flying Roadster 3.0 is just one prototype out there that aims to transform the routine of commuters.

The latest version of the craft is said to be the most advanced prototype that has been unveiled thus far. Appearance wise, the Flying Roadster 3.0 is certainly futuristic.

The front end has an extended nose and sits low to the ground, giving it a sports car-like look. At a quick glance there is a slight resemblance to the Batmobile.

The prototype has a top airspeed of 124 miles per hour and a flight range of up to four hours or approximately 430 miles.

In car mode, the craft will reach 100 miles per hour using regular gas and will fit into a normal sized parking space. When in flight, it can use an airport, or alternatively a lengthy grassy or paved surface for landing and takeoffs.

The wings, wheels and body shell are constructed primarily from an advanced composite material. The Flying Roadster 3.0 was built over the duration of 10 months with a crew of 12 people.
