Young Fathers win the 2014 Barclaycard Mercury Prize

Edinburgh trio Young Fathers were surprise winners at the 2014 Barclaycard Mercury Prize on Wednesday for their debut album 'Dead'.
The alternative hip-hop group beat eleven others to take home the 20,000 pound cash prize at London's Roundhouse.
However, at the red carpet prior to the award ceremony, the group didn't seem particularly interested in their nomination.

"Are we meant to be all giddy and, you know, jumping about the place for an award? Is that the pinnacle of our careers? Is that we want to do? Is that what you're saying?"
Then, after winning the coveted award which usually sees record sales soar, they seemed a little bit more enthusiastic.
