No way, José! Barroso bows out with swipe at UK's Cameron over EU bill row

Outgoing European Commission President José Manuel Barroso has taken one final swipe at British Prime Minister David Cameron.
Barroso hit out at Cameron over his reaction to a two billion euro EU bill; the row dominated headlines after an EU summit last week.
“The British prime minister finished the summit with a diatribe against the EU institutions. This is not acceptable,” the former Portuguese prime minister told euronews in an interview on Tuesday.
“Moreover, this is not what we said during the meeting. During the meeting, the discussion was very constructive. He said this bill was a problem for him but he asked to resolve it constructively and that the issue shouldn’t become polemic.”
Downing Street says it will not be paying the surcharge, despite the Commission threatening Britain with penalty fines.
EU officials say it came about after the methods calculating the size of UK’s economy and its budget contributions were updated.
