France begins temperature screening of passengers arriving from Guinea in fight against Ebola

France has stepped up measures to prevent the Ebola virus from arriving in the country.
So far there have been no reported cases in France.
Passengers arriving in Paris on flights from the Guinean capital Conakry are now being checked for high temperatures before being allowed into the airport terminal.
Those arriving said they felt reassured by the measures.
“Our temperature was taken on arrival. It went very well. If that can reduce the anxiety and stigmatisation around Ebola that’s great. You see there are people arriving who are feeling well,” said one woman.
Another male passenger said:“It is encouraging and it shows that when you come from a country affected by the Ebola virus and you enter Europe, all necessary measures are certainly taken.”
In Spain, authorities have confirmed that four patients with Ebola-like symptoms have tested negative.
Family and friends of the 18 people in isolation at the Carlos III hospital in Madrid came to stand outside the hospital on Saturday and wave up at the windows to show their support. They were joined by employees of the hospital where nurse Teresa Romero was originally diagnosed with Ebola.
Romero’s condition is now improving.
