Two lottery scam suspects in New York City are still on the loose and police are now asking the public for help in identifying them.

Nine people from both Manhattan and Brooklyn have come forward claiming to be victims. All of them are females.

The scam is the same in every case. One suspect claims to be an undocumented individual who has a winning lottery ticket. The con artist then asks the victims if they can help cash in the ticket.

While that conversation is taking place, the second suspect joins in and professes to know a lawyer who can help. The culprit is typically well dressed and has previously been witnessed carrying a bible.

Together they convince the victims to pay for the attorney and tell them the lottery winnings will be split. More than 17 thousand dollars has been taken from unsuspecting citizens thus far. Jewelry was also stolen.

The incidents occurred over the duration of five months, between March and August of this year. Police describe one of the suspects as a male Hispanic in his 50's, who stands approximately 5'03" and has a slim build.

The other alleged scammer is a female Hispanic in her 40's to 50's, ranging from 4'5" to 5'03" in height and may be wearing a wig.
