Donors pledge $5.5bn for Gaza reconstruction

International donors have pledged about $5.5bn to help rebuild Gaza.
The announcement was made during a conference in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.
Much of the strip was destroyed after 50 days of bombing by Israel, starting in July.
