Bomb blast kills at least one in Kabul

At least one person died when a suicide car bomber hit this foreign convoy in Kabul.

Police say the victim was an Afghan.

They say at least three foreigners were wounded.

Taliban insurgents have claimed responsibility for the attack along a major route out of the Afghan capital.

The road leads to a U.S. military base and a housing compound for international aid workers.

Insurgents have stepped up attacks, taking advantage of foreign troops leaving, to gain back strategic territory around the country.
