According to reports, she died on September 27th in her family’s Wisconsin cabin. She had fallen asleep with a computer resting on her lap and never woke up.
An autopsy has not determined the cause of her death. The actress’ mother suspects a heart ailment is to blame.
Goldberg went to Amherst College, where she earned a bachelor's degree in biology prior to landing her first on-screen gig.
Her initial goal was to continue her education and study medicine but she was chosen for a role in ‘My Best Friend’s Wedding’ and from there, her acting career took priority.
Goldberg later appeared in ‘Jurassic Park III’, ‘Training Day’, ‘90210’, ‘Judging Amy’, ‘Without a Trace’ and ‘CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’. On ‘7th Heaven’, she played the daughter of a rabbi and later went on to marry Matt Camden.
Goldberg’s mother remarked “She wanted to go to medical school, and instead for three years she played a doctor on ‘7th Heaven.’”
