TUNISIA - LIBYA - Tunisia takes in new wave of Libyan refugees
  • 10 years ago
In 2011, people fleeing war in Libya were welcomed in Tunisia, including many supporters of the Gaddafi regime. This summer, both generalised violence and personal threats have prompted a new wave of refugees to join them. Official figures put the total number of Libyans in Tunisia anywhere between 600 000 and 1.8 million: that's between 5 and 15% of Tunisia's population. Our correspondent Marine Casalis has met with some of them to find out how the two communities are getting on.
