Kenya president at Hague court charged with crimes against humanity

The President of Kenya has arrived at the International Criminal Court (ICC). He is the first sitting world leader to appear before the Hague-based court where he faces charges of crimes against humanity.
The high-profile case is a major test for the ICC which has a string of collapsed cases and been accused of singling out Africans for prosecution.
President Uhuru Kenyatta denies charges of co-orchestrating violence in which twelve hundred people were killed after Kenya’s election in 2007.
Kenyatta has been accused of inciting tribal gangs from who butchered people using machetes and bows and arrows.
The court postponed the trial last month after prosecuters said the Kenyan government blocked access to key documents.
