ATFA YouTube Video Delivers Holdout Message to President Kirchner
Video Released on Eve of Argentine Delegation Visit to U.S. Trade Conference
Today, the American Task Force Argentina (ATFA) brought its message directly to the people and Government of Argentina by posting an internet video address by ATFA Co-Chair Dr. Robert Shapiro calling on Argentine President Nestor Kirchner and his Government to honor its $20 billion in delinquent debt and enter negotiations with its creditors.
The video was posted on YouTube and other internet video sites today, just as the Argentine delegation arrived in Atlanta for the Department of Commerce's America's Competitiveness Forum. In the first of an anticipated series of videos, Dr. Shapiro lays out ATFA's mission and initiatives, highlights Argentina's 9% GDP growth and record $40 billion in foreign reserves and notes that, in light of Argentina's current economic growth, "now is the time to act".
