Chelsea Clinton gives birth to girl

Chelsea Clinton has given birth to a baby girl.
She posted a message on her Twitter and Facebook accounts saying she and her husband were in awe at the birth of their daughter, Charlotte Clinton Mezvinsky.
The baby was born Friday at a New York hospital just days after Chelsea appeared at the Clinton Global Initiative prompting President Obama to jokingly offer her use of his motorcade if she needed it to get to the hospital.
SOUNDBITE: PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA, SAYING:
"I was just discussing with President Clinton that if Chelsea begins delivery while I am speaking, she has my motorcade and will be able to navigate traffic."
This is the first child for Chelsea and her husband Marc Mezvinsky. The couple was married in 2010.
And it's the first grandchild for former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
