Rosita Quiroga ~ 1929 ~ Y Taconeando Salio
  • 10 years ago
Rosita Quiroga, born in Buenos Aires in 1898, was the first female singer of tango. She performs Y Taconeando Salio recorded in Buenos Aires in the fall of 1929 for the Victor Talking Machine Co. Argentinian studios. The disc was released on Victor label 47181, matrix BAVE 44750. A taconeando refers to a tango in which the heels are used heavily. The title means " . . .and the heels come out" if my Spanish is anywhere near accurate.
The flip side of the disc is Has Cambiado por Completo (You've Completely Changed)
I am happy to present this request from one of the DaMn Gang.
