UN: Latin American countries reject foreign interventions

At the UN General Assembly, several Latin American countries expressed their opposition to foreign intervention in nations such as Syria and Iraq. Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff said that the use of force cannot solve conflicts as has been made clear in the cases of Palestine, Syria, Iraq, and Ukraine. Argentine President Cristina Fernandez said the violence will not be resolved as long as the votes of the 5 permanent members of the Security Council have more weight than those of the other countries. President Evo Morales of Bolivia said 'war versus war doesn't equal peace' and endorsed the request to admit Palestine as full member of the UN. teleSUR
