A woman had calmly been walking down the sidewalk when suddenly another female approached her. The suspect grabbed the woman and pushed her on top of a display of fruit.
She didn’t release her hold on the victim and continued shoving her onto the pavement. She dragged the woman, lifted her up and violently pushed her to the ground yet again.
Police are deeming this a road rage-related incident. Investigators say the 44-year-old victim was beaten after she asked another motorist to move a vehicle that was blocking the street.
A female passenger inside the other auto verbally abused her so the woman used another route and parked. As she walked to the shops, the same passenger got out and attacked her.
The suspect then walked away and later found the victim attempting to get a registration number, so she assaulted her a second time. She and her male companion then fled the scene.
Police are asking for anyone who witnessed the incident or recognizes the persons involved to contact them. A police spokesperson remarked “The woman assaulted suffered pain and discomfort following the attack and may have lost consciousness for a short time.”
