Remembering the victims of 9/11 thirteen years on

Marking 13 years since the terror attacks of 9/11, the names of the nearly 3,000 people who were killed in New York, at the Pentagon and in Pennsylvania were read out at Ground Zero.
For those who lost loved ones, being at the commemoration in New York provides some consolation.
Kayla Grady, who lost her father when she was two said: “It’s a big deal for me, I’ve never done this before. I’ve never even come here for the memorial. So we’ve always stayed home and watched it. So, it’s a big deal for me, I’m a bit nervous. So I know it’s the best thing to do.”
Marian Fanning’s brother was a firefighter who was killed. “We have no other place to really go, so this is his final resting place. We never got anything back. So what we have is the family room where they put all the remains of everybody who was unidentified. So that’s what we have,” she said.
A new One World Trade Center building has nearly been completed and should be in use by this time next year.
