Couple Finds Huge Snake Resting On Bed

Most people would never want to find a snake in their home, let alone in one of their beds. A couple in Morayfield, Australia, however, stumbled upon that very sight.

Brisbane-based snake-catcher Julia Baker was contacted by the pair after they discovered the roughly 13-foot long carpet python resting on a bed in their spare room.

When the man of the house spotted the massive slithery creature, he shut the door, realizing it was too big for him to handle. Julia remarked “The resident was probably out in the garden doing something and left the door open. The next thing you know, he goes in the bedroom and it's curled up on the bed.”

She arrived at the home with a hook and a hoop bag to capture the carpet python. She was able to do so and let the snake loose in the couple’s backyard.

This particular carpet python frequents the property and he’s never harmed anyone. Julia, who has a fondness for snakes, is asking everyone not to kill a snake if they're found inside homes or on land.

She pointed out snakes are good for the eco-system and says they won’t attack humans, as long as they are left alone.
