Madrid, Aug 29 (EFE), (Camera: Manuel Única).- Spanish midfielder Xabi Alonso told a press conference on Friday that transferring to Bayern Munich was part of his "wish" to "start a new chapter" in his life after winning the Liga title with his now former team Real Madrid and the need to find "new motivations". The player added that the decision of leaving what has been his team for the last 5 years was a "personal decision" and had nothing to do with German Toni Kroos starting in Real's first Liga match against Cordoba. Alonso stressed that after winning "La Décima" -Real Madrid's tenth European title- he needed new motivations and that playing under the watchful eye of coach Pep Guardiola at Bayern Munich was the perfect opportunity.
