A senior member of Iran's nuclear negotiation team says Tehran and the P5+1 could reach a comprehensive agreement before a late November deadline.
Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi reiterated that any such deal would require the Western side to be serious and not acquisitive. He said Tehran's interaction with the P5+1 is directly tied to the group's goodwill. Tehran and the permanent members of the UN Security council plus Germany reached an interim nuclear deal in Geneva last November. Under the deal, Iran agreed to limit part of its nuclear program in return for a partial lifting of the West's sanctions. The agreement expired six months later on July 20, but was extended until November 24.
