A traditional bull run in Spain recently took a scary turn for the worse. One steer participating in the stampede on the streets of Santacara managed to terrify spectators.
The animal was out of control and ran straight into a phone booth. The steer was partially trapped inside the box because the horns got stuck.
One witness described the scene stating “It gradually demolishes the phone box and pulls it to the ground but it is still caught up in the frame. As it struggled to get out it got angrier and angrier.”
Many onlookers fled for their own safety, but there were a number of brave ones who decided to stay and help the steer. The group slowly approached the animal.
They tried moving his horns, pushing the booth and even tugging the agitated creature by the tail. In the end though, the bull was able to free himself.
He angrily started thrashing and ducking to get out of the situation. He was successful in doing so and fortunately nobody was injured.
The steer completed the run and later received veterinary treatment for cuts caused by the broken phone booth glass.
