Iraq witnessing another violent day with a wave of attacks across the country leaving dozens dead.
Officials say at least 43 people were killed and nearly 90 others injured in a series of attacks. The deadliest assault was carried out on a Shia mosque in Baghdad’s east where at least 15 worshipers died. More than thirty others were injured there. In two other separate attacks in Baghdad, at least five others were killed. The attacks were followed by deadly back-to-back car bombings. Terror attacks have surged in Iraq over the past year. Iraqi authorities have labeled the violence as an attempt to create sectarian strife in the country.
