In Afghanistan, at least 17 people have been killed in US-led airstrikes over the past 24 hours.
Officials in Logar province say US drones conducted two air raids early Saturday in Charkh district, leaving eight people dead. Police say six others lost their lives in an airstrike in Kunar province. Earlier on Friday, three civilians died in a similar attack in Logar. The United States says its drones target militants, but reports on the ground show civilians make up the majority of casualties.
