Kurdish ministers, who suspended their participation in the government of outgoing Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, have rejoined the administration.
That is according to Iraq's outgoing foreign minister Hoshyar Zebari, who is a Kurd himself. The Kurdish political bloc had cancelled their participation in cabinet meetings in protest against Maliki's earlier remarks which infuriated Kurdish leaders. He had accused the Kurds of harboring ISIL terrorists after the militants swept through northern Iraq in June. He said the Kurds were allowing the insurgents to base themselves in Erbil.
