    Most welcome Genia! I did understand this and you are right, it sounds very important since Cocteau recites it pompously :-). It's all about sounding erudite and educated... especially since this poem is a word and sound play. That's why your friend is right when she stated it makes sense in French... ahum in the sense that the rhyme makes flow the sentences even if linguistically it is... well rather senseless. After all this was an exponent of Dadaism.
