Burial of the decomposed body of a Hindu sadhu!

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust...

He died while meditating, in a sitting position! "Aakhri darshan kar lo, bhai!". Burial for a Hindu saint, as opposed to cremation. They surround the body with salt to aid in rapid decomposition.

A shivling in a temple. People dig a pit in preparation for the burial of the dead sadhu. A mixture of ash is prepared to annoint the man of god, and off he goes... His eyes are swollen up and rigor mortis has set in. His followers take his clothes off and bathe the dead body. Even kids join in to the ceremony. Then they protect his modesty with a loin cloth and rub ash onto his body.

Not for people with a weak heart, this is real footage never seen before. The footage is of the burial of a decomposing corpse of a Hindu sadhu in Madhya Pradesh, India. His followers or family members rub his lifeless body with some paste and then cover it with a cloth. This sadhu is being buried in a sitting position unlike common Hindus who are cremated. This is old footage and one can assume that the burial site must have become a place of worship by now.
