Another deadly day in Afghanistan. US attacks have killed at least 26 people in the country’s east and south.
A drone attack in the eastern Nangarhar province has left at least five people dead. Two children were also injured. Afghan officials have not commented on the attack yet. Earlier, A US-led airstrike in the southern Helmand province left at least 21 people dead. Army officials say all those killed in the airstrike in Marjah were Taliban militants. According to a local official, the militants were killed while planning an attack on security forces. Washington has carried out numerous drone attacks and airstrikes in Afghanistan over the past years, which have mostly led to civilian casualties despite claims of targeting militants.
