Israel’s so-called Operation Protective Edge has been dubbed as the deadliest military operation to have taken place in Gaza since 2008–2009.
The Palestinian death toll from the Israeli strikes stands at about 1,900. Palestinian officials say 80 percent of fatalities are civilians, mainly women and children.
Human Rights Watch has censured the Tel Aviv regime for killing civilians in Gaza.
Nevertheless, despite the Israeli brutality the infrastructure of resistance in Gaza remains strong and the resistance has managed to fire rockets into Israel like never before and has also inflicted casualties on the Israeli military.
Popular support for Hamas and other resistance groups is also holding up, and support for the Palestinian cause is reaching unprecedented levels regionally and globally.
