Real Madrid 3-1 Deportivo La Coruna

Ruud van Nistelrooy had a hand in the all-important first goal, literally, but Real Madrid put that aside through second half goals from Raul and the Dutchman himself, to pick up a 3-1 win over Deportivo and move to within two wins of the La Liga title. Deportivo shrugged away the disappointment of an unfair first half goal and pulled things back in the 55th minute, but Raul and Ruud van Nistelrooy turned on the style to clinch a valuable win for Los Merengues.
