Bedbugs were found living in the upholstery of at least three New York City N Line trains.

It’s been confirmed that they were spotted in the seat cushions of the train cabs, an area occupied by conductors and workers.

If they were also discovered living in passenger areas is unclear.

According to a statement given by a Metropolitan Transit Authority spokesperson, bedbug sightings were reported by both crew members and riders.

Thus far it doesn’t appear as if anybody was bitten.

The first two trains that were declared inhabited were quickly sent to the Coney Island yard for fumigation.

Before long a 3rd train joined them.

MTA said the problem was not widespread and that it has been fixed.

It was also announced that this isn’t the first time they’ve had to deal with the parasites, but specifics about previous run-ins weren’t given.

The spokesperson also kept quiet about where exactly along the trains’ routes the latest bug problem was discovered.

N line trains travel between Brooklyn and Queens via Manhattan. Along the way they make stops at several highly populated areas including Times Square.
