Greater Manchester Police said they were dealing with an “emergency” as a Qatar Airways passenger plane was escorted to Manchester Airport by an RAF fighter on August 5. It was later reported the pilot had received some information of a possible device on board. Police later tweeted that a passenger had been arrested on suspicion of making a hoax bomb threat.
