“2012 Seoul Gugak Festival”
Based on the lunar calendar, May 5th is “Dano.” It is one of the four major Korean holidays including New Year’s Day and Thanksgiving. It was a day of festivities where they forgot about their hard work and enjoy themselves.
Of course during a celebration like “Dano,” it’s impossible to leave out music. So this week, “The Sensation” prepared an exciting concert of traditional Korean music, known as “Gugak,” for our viewers at Korea and around the world. The sound of traditional Korean instruments and the melodies of gugak blend in well with all types of music. Sometimes, you also hear the sounds, used in K-Pop songs.
On this week’s “The Sensation,” we invite you to the “2102 Seoul Gugak Festival,” celebrating the special Korean holiday and wishing for a good luck and happiness through beautiful sounds of Korean music for all of you.
