Gazans stock up on food during truce

Palestinians in the Gaza Strip flock to the market Saturday to stock up on food supplies as a 12-hour humanitarian truce takes effect.
The fighting between Israel and Hamas, which started on July 8, has so far killed more than 900 Palestinians, most of them civilians, and 39 Israelis, mostly soldiers.
One Gaza resident says she's nervous about what's to come.
(SOUNDBITE)(Arabic) GAZA RESIDENT, NADA HAMEDAH, SAYING:
"When we heard about the truce we went out and found the streets full of people. Everyone is out and wants to see their houses, children and to earn money -- this is what the people are out for. But they do not feel safe or calm."
Palestinians also take time to assess the damage and recover their dead.
Gaza health officials say rescue workers have already pulled out 40 bodies from under the rubble since the truce began, including 18 members from the same family.
In Tel Aviv, one resident hopes the fighting will be over soon.
