Dunya News - Govt threatens democracy by stopping Imran Khan: Khursheed Shah

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Khursheed Shah said on Friday that it will be a threat to the democracy if the government tried to stop Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan from demonstrating, Dunya News reported.
Shah said former president Pervez Musharraf will leave the country in any case.
Addressing the media, leader of the opposition in National Assembly Khursheed Shah subjected the government of heavy criticism, saying that how the person who cannot control Islamabad will control the whole country.
He said the civilian leadership fails when the need for military leadership is felt.
PPP leader said that he has repeatedly warned the government not to stop Imran Khan or it will pose a threat to democracy.
Criticizing Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri, he said that Qadri’s ‘revolution’ ended on the spot when he accepted Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar’s guarantee.
