Hey….it’s here, its here….. Salman Khan’s much awaited Kick has finally hit the screens on the 25th of July and guess what? It looks way bigger than what we sensed through its power packed trailer! Yes, yes, yes peeps! Debut director Sajid Nadiadwala has surprised to jaw drops and oh! Jacqueline stunningly stuns like a bomb in this devil thrill! Okay,…now let’s not break the ice, all at once…..Let’s have a crisp review on what’s good, bad, ugly in this Salman Khan film!
So firstly, a quick brush up through the film’s plot! Kick' narrates a story of Devi Lal Singh, who loves doing unusual things and in the meantime, falls in love with Shaina. But before Devi and Shaina can enjoy their companionship, things fall apart and Shaina ends up in Poland. And there, Shaina meets Himanshu an ace cop who is after a robber named Devil. So is Devil the same Devi? Well, now that’s what the film is all about.
As per the story, the film appeals way too bombastic and engages a lot of stuff that’ll keep you hooked to your seats! Starting from love, to action, the film keeps sailing high on all the ingredients that are required to hype a masala entertainer. But now, what slightly downs on its flipside is the only obvious fact that the film draws a lot of similarities to the Dhoom franchise. If Salman is Aamir, Randeep is Abhishek and that keeps hitting at the back of our head! But of course that can’t stop us from hooting for a Salman Khan film right?
Performance wise, needless to say, Salman is too good! Oh!What a star! If he makes us awww, when he is in love, he also drops us to awe, when he is up high, on action! And how about Jacqueline? Oh! She is such a sex bomb! Drool…And meanwhile, others like Randeep, Nawazuddin and Mithun lend great support and are fine on their part!
To sum it up, Kick is not something that leans onto deliver any logic but yet, it’s an illogical delivery that promises to offer a buffet of Salman, Salman and Salman! Need we say more? Run to your nearby screens and get your Kick, right now!
On the rating scale, we at Bollywood Uncut give it 41/2 stars on 5!
